Reconciliation basic definitions are the restoration of friendly relations, making one view or belief compatible with another, and making financial accounts consistent; harmonization.
For our Government, the word means, parliamentary procedure of the United States Congress that expedites the passage of certain budgetary legislation in the United States Senate.
Interestingly, given the four years and the Capitol Riots, our country disrespectfully was forced to deal with, this act of Reconciliation by the Democratic Controlled Congress concerning The People’s Elected President Biden’s Covid 19 Relief Package, may finally be moving forward.
Democrats are all set to move forward with their COVID-19 relief bill, leaving Republicans in the dust and rightfully so. For years Republicans have stood in the way of governing for the people, ever since McConnell’s days of openly saying and bragging he would Obstruct any work for the people of America from Obama. During the Trump term, he blocked most efforts by the Democratic House of Representatives. Then many of you began inciting or facilitated lies that would lead to the first-ever attempt to overthrow our government in a negative way…..away from democracy.
In the words of too many Republicans, “We won the election“,
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer. on Monday introduced a budget resolution bill that would allow them to pass President Biden’s $1.9 trillion coronavirus stimulus with just a simple majority in both chambers. And on Tuesday, they got the final vote they needed to solidify that majority, as holdout Sen. Joe Manchin indicated he’d support the resolution.
Schumer and Pelosi filed a joint budget resolution for the 2021 Fiscal Year on Monday, taking the first step needed to introduce a Budget Reconciliation bill and pass the stimulus with just 50 votes in the Senate. Manchin seemed to complicate their plans, indicating he wanted a more targeted distribution of stimulus checks instead of a flat $1,400 sent to all Americans. But “because of the urgency of the COVID-19 crisis,” Manchin said in a Tuesday statement he’d vote for the budget. He’d like Biden to focus on “Americans who have been impacted most by this pandemic” in the future, and said he “remains hopeful that we can have bipartisan support moving forward.”
Manchin’s change of heart comes after West Virginia Gov. Jim Justice (R), a strong supporter of former President Donald Trump and adversary of Manchin, indicated his support for the $1.9 trillion bills on Monday.
Biden’s ‘Help Us Help You‘ policy campaign, dispatched VP Harris to West Virginia via Zoom to persuade the people to push their lawmakers for the Covid 19 Relief Reconciliation Bill. Pushing campaigns by an Administration that must run the entire country, and serve all its people is done in every Presidential administration.
A group of 10 centrist Republican senators presented Biden with a $618 billion stimulus proposal on Monday that includes smaller stimulus checks and leaves out local government funding. Pelosi and Schumer’s move seems to indicate their plan is bust.
NOW CAN WE TALK
Are the Republicans upset about this move, well duh. Are the Q’s and MAGA’s are already spreading misinformation about how this is so wrong? I’ll bet the whole house. Yet the Democrats’ campaigned on the idea that if their Senators and Presidential Candidate were elected, the people would get their relief and a President that will stay on top of Covid for them until it is over. Giving it his #1 attention.
Despite, during every hour, someone dies from Covid, or loses a job or worse goes hungry tonight, something in itself one would think of quick, helpful reactions, yet the obstructionist Republicans are their usual selves wanting a debate, or a compromise when it comes to actually help The People of America.
Therefore, because Democrat Voters stood in long rainy lines, endured the constant bombarding of lies about the election, had to witness in our lifetime the most previledged in our country and those most in control already, storm our Capital building as if to say, “well no one will see freedom if we have to share it.”
As we enter black history month, imagine the thoughts through many of us brown, black, gay, trans, Jewish, Muslim, or any other minority and picture a multitude of people who have given in many ways to show love, respect for their country. Only to witness those that are willing to literally burn it all down to the ground, rather than to see anyone but them have any of it.
Willing to destroy their own self, for the love of the hate they have for anyone else, that’s not them.
Yet, a Democrat-controlled government is about to give ALL AMERICANS more access to the vaccine and help us all out more financially. It may not be enough for so many, but it sure was a long way from what they wanted to give their own voters during the worst pandemic in this WORLD’S modern history.
