We’re getting back on track here at TheTMPlanet, with some exciting new projects. Our most important is YOU, our 250k Followers of this site and our social media pages. Headed by our Associate Editor, who has work with some of the leading political magazines and media outlets in the country; a book of essays on the lives of trans people and our allies.
This work will be for mass publication and your stories hopefully read by thousands.
We are seeking trans people of any transitional status, non-binary, allies, parents of trans people, advocacy organizations and medical/mental staff familiar with treating trans and non-binary persons. The project would consist of a wide range of diversity within our community, in a narrative essay style, min 1000 to 3000 words max. We’re asking for your work to be non-fictional, but will not rule out outstanding fictional work.
How to Write a Narrative Essay?
- Step one: Make up a plot of the story. Most readers enjoy the plot… YOUR STORY
- Step two: create characters of your story. THE CHARACTERS IN YOUR LIFE (advised to use alias for innocent connections in your life
- Step three: build a plot line. In this context, plot can be described as a sequence of events. LET YOUR WHOLE STORY BE TOLD.
- Step four: make sure your narrative looks finished.
- Step five: edit and revise your narrative. WE CAN/WILL ASSIST WITH EDITING
This is a perfect opportunity for writers, and bloggers. We are looking for those voices in our community not often heard from even in the trans community. We realize there are more varied stories of trans people than just the few hundred social media has offered and would like to shine a light on the countless often unheard voices in our community.
